Khamsa - The Well of Oblivion (Original Soundtrack)
Release date: TBA
Format: digital album
Down in a dark well, an amnesiac boy called Adi regains consciousness. Accompanied by two strange creatures, he tries to get his memory back and realizes that his quest is more complicated than it seems.
The musical score contains arrangements for various classical instruments such as piano, choir and orchestra. There’s also a ritualistic side bringing more unusual instruments to the mix, such as singing bowls and gamelan percussion. Using creative sampling techniques and effects, the acoustic recordings are often pushed into surreal territories.
The film is told from Adi’s perspective, and the score follows his emotions as the truth behind his identity unfolds; feelings of adventure, nostalgia, loss - and ultimately moments of horror.
Tobias Lilja created both the music and the sound effects for the film.
